Our current research is primarily focused on various aspects of carbohydrate chemistry, including their modifications, applications in synthesis, and the development of carbohydrate-based molecules with significant chemotherapeutic value (V. K. Tiwari, Chem. Rec., 2021, 3029-3048). The research group has gained high credit particularly for Click Chemistry in Glycoscience (Tiwari, et al., Chem. Rev., 2016, 3086-3240; Chem. Rev., 2021, 7638-7956) and the development of novel synthetic methodologies using Benzotriazole Ring Cleavage methodology (Tiwari, et al., J. Org. Chem., 2013, 899; J. Org. Chem., 2014, 211, Org. Lett., 2012, 2936, SYNLETT, 2025, 2074, etc); Total synthesis of some selected naturally occurring molecules such as imino sugars (RSC Adv., 2013, 5794), Sialic acid containing glycans (J. Am. Chem. Soc., 2011, 18467; Glycobiology, 2008, 686; J. Biol. Chem., 2011, 31610; ACS Infect. Dis., 2025, 3036, etc) and some biologically important alkaloids were also in the focus. Our group have developed several glycodendrimers of various applications (J. Org. Chem., 2013, 8184; RSC Adv., 2020, 31553; Carbohyd. Res., 2021, 108403, etc.). Recently, Click-derived glycohybrid 1,2,3-triazoles were explored in catalysis (Tiwari et al., ACS Combi. Sc., 2019, 389; J. Org. Chem., 2021, 17884; J. Org. Chem., 2022, 15389; J. Org. Chem., 2023, 13440; J. Org. Chem., 2024, 17213; J. Org. Chem., 2024, 10698; Org. Biomol. Chem., 2025, 4045; Eur. J. Org. Chem., 2025, e202500491; J. Org. Chem., 2025, 5731, etc.).
