Our current research is mainly focused on different aspects of carbohydrate chemistry, such as their modifications, application in synthesis, and development of carbohydrate-based molecules of great chemotherapeutic value. The special interest is devoted to Click Chemistry in Glycoscience particularly for the development of glycohybrids and glycodendrimers of diverse application in chemistry, biology, and medicine. The research group has gained high credit, particularly for the development of novel synthetic methodologies using benzotriazole ring cleavage (BtRC) methodology. Recently, the total synthesis of naturally occurring molecules such as imino sugars, Sialic acids, etc has also been in focus in our lab.
